The Friends of Colkirk Village is a voluntary body and acts as a sub committee of the Parish Council.

Initially the committee was created by residents to organise celebrations of the Millennium.

The committee was also responsible for organising a village picnic to mark the Queen's Jubilee.

Both of these functions were held on the Campyngland.

The committee now organise the annual village Gala Day, which is the main event held on the Campyngland. The Gala is a direct result of the success of the Millennium event and funds raised on these well attended occasions are divided among the participating village organisations.
